The Monkey's Having a Birthday

So today part of my family (not saying who, since anyone in the world could read this, and I don't want them knowing who's not home) left to go visit these three in Oklahoma.

Well I'm going to be honest and tell you I'm jealous! I really wish i could be there too and I wish I had all the money in the world to visit them anytime I wanted. It's tough living so far away and on a budget. 

The reason my family is in Ok is because they went out to be with this special little lady.

I can't believe she is already two. It's crazy how time flies when you're having fun :) and Cadence is always having fun. She is one busy little girl. Just ask Tiff.

So with these three, soon to be four, living in Oklahoma we don't get to see each other very much. So I treasure every moment we get together. I've loved watching Cadence grow up and she knows how to steal our hearts.

So here's a few photo from her two years, and mind you that these are only the pics that Chase and I have.  I'm sure Tiffany, my mom and Jamie have plenty more.

 When we were in OK for Thanksgiving, she loved to play mono (monkey) on the bed. Which was mostly on our air mattress. Needless to say it had to be blown back up often :)

At the Starting Line

Let start with the beginning :)  For all of you who are just starting to stalk me here you go......

Chase and I were set up by Papa Leake and Papa Birks aka our dads.  I was away at college so when I came home for the 4th of July Chase took me on our first date.  So long story short we were infatuated with each other from the moment we made eye contact.  In fact I invited him to my family vacation over the 24th of July on the first date.  Even though we ended up together later on, the moment I said that I was regretting it.  I had no idea if Chase liked me as well.  However a call the next night to make sure I made it back to school safely was a really good hint that he did.  So we continued to date and spend every waking moment with each other.  Then the dreaded move back down to school came again.  What a rough night that was.  My pillow didn't know how to stay dry :(  But we survived and got engaged :)Here's a little synopses of how the engagement went.  My Grandma Leake was already telling people that I was engaged, when I was not, I think she might of been a little excited.  Anyway my dad had dropped me off at the Birks' even though Chase was not home yet, I think he wanted an excuse to talk to Ric ;)  So apparently Kathy (mom-in-law) told Chase as soon as he got home that it was starting to get awkward and that he better propose soon.  So Chase took me up to South Mnt. to take pictures for work.  I kept suggesting spots that I thought were good but he said no and that he was trying to find a certain place.  Which so happened to be where we went one night while dating and I taught Chase how to kiss, haha I hope I grossed some of you out :)  So we got to the spot and surprise surprise he took pictures.  A little bit later he said he wanted to get some pics of me but needed his flash I reluctantly agreed.  So while he was rummaging through his bag to get his flash I was watching the city lights.  As I turned around I found him on his knees and immediately said yeah.  He then told me "Pictures will fade throughout time, but being sealed to you will last an eternity" I then replied yes, yes of course.  I guess saying yes before he could even pop the question made it easy on him.  So there you have that story.Back to our lives.  We got engaged the day before Thanksgiving and I sadly had to go back down to school to finish out the semester.  I guess miles apart really does make the heart grow fonder :)  We then got married on April 2nd of 2010 and have been married for 2 years now, wohoo!Let me tell you it has been a fun journey.  Which is why I have decided to let you all stalk and keep up on our lives. So enjoy and hopefully I can be a good blogger and figure this all out. Ha I'm already having problems trying to put it all together. :)

P.S. I love hearing that I'm being stalked :) so don't be afraid to comment or tell me so.  Because it's more than likely that I stalk you, haha.  Creepy huh?
