I Never Want to Forget

Heidi as I was putting you to bed tonight I thought about how much I never want to forget all of the things that make you special.  I so badly want to remember every detail but I know it's not possible because you have your whole life ahead of you and I know I'll want to remember all of those details as well.
So since I know I don't have the memory to remember everything this is a list of some of the things that I have loved about you.

*Seeing you come into this world and how the sight of you and hearing your little cry immediately flooded me with such joy, and then seeing your Dad tear up, this will always be at the top of my list :)
*The way you loved sleeping on my chest.
*The way you snuggled your little face into the crook of our arm and arm pit to go to sleep.
*Your cute little naked body. Ah I just can never get enough of you when your naked ;)
*Your cooing was mesmerizing.
*Your first laugh was oh my gosh adorable.  I just wanted to hear it over and over again.
*Speaking of laughing Kody gets the best laugh's out of you.
*How holding my finger in the car was enough to calm you down when you were sad.
*Oh my I love that you get a great big smile when you see a picture of yourself.
*The way you would gag on your food when you didn't like it.
*When you would chew on my chin.
*The way you put your binky in your mouth inbetween each bite when I'm feeding you.
*The way you would double fist your mouth because chewing on one wasn't good enough.
*The way you gasp almost every time you take your first drink from your cup.
*The way you enjoy dipping your hand in your drinking cup and sucking the water off of your fingers.
*How you raise your eyebrows, just about 100 times a day.
*The way you like to put your fingers in our mouths to feel our teeth.
*The way you growl when you are not getting what you want, or you don't like something.
*Your beautiful smile.
*Your amazing vibrant blue eyes, with your long eyelashes.
*When you are nursing and decide that you need your binky so you pop it in your mouth for a total of two seconds and then nurse for a couple of seconds and then pop your binks back in and how this goes on for quite some time.
*The way you act shy and cuddle into me when somebody says hi.
*The way you like to share your toys with Kody.
*When your gasps are too much to handle and you have to cough.
*The way you try to get yourself out of your car seat because we are going to slow.
*& The way you make our heart's burst with love everyday.

Man Heidi, Dad and I never knew that you would bring such joy into our lives.  We have loved every minute that you have been with us and are so grateful that we get to have your fun spirit in our family.  We absolutely love you to pieces and can't wait to keep adding to our list.

Holidays All At Once

Since I'm bad at being up to date, but still want to document, here are all of Heidi's first holidays in one post :)

Halloween:

Our little city had a trick or treating night, so we joined everyone and just walked around to enjoy the excitement and to buy a little treat at the local cupcake shop.   We love where we live!
We went to a Halloween party at a friends house in our ward.  We put on last minute outfits and bought Heidi a Halloween shirt.
On Halloween evening we packed up and headed on a road trip to Oklahoma.  So for Heidi's first Halloween she was a road tripper ;)  She makes a really cute road tripper don't you think :)

Thanksgiving:

For Thanksgiving we ended up going to the same friends house for dinner, they invited all of us transplants who didn't have family to be with :)

Christmas:

For Christmas we went out to Utah for 3 weeks.  Heidi got to experience the fun chaos that Christmas surrounded by loved ones brings :) She sure did meet a heck of a lot of people, and did awesome with it.
We kept Heidi's Christmas simple and got her things that she needed, like a sippy cup, spoons, lots of clothes, wall decals for her room, and of course candy that Chase and I were pleased as punch to eat :)

We enjoyed our Christmas tree for a short while.
Delivering neighbor treats right before we left
The city puts up a gigantic Christmas tree in the middle of an intersection by our house and they have a night of lighting the tree and singing carols.  Well we walked down 15 min after it started and it was already done, oh well.
In Utah Heidi visited Santa
She went sledding, ok she didn't go sledding, instead she slept
Luckily she woke up to see the beauty and to make an appearance :)
Santa even found her in Utah.  We made sure to out do Santa though, with the bigger gifts ;)
Heidi also went to 4 different Christmas parties.  I unfortunately do not have a picture of each party so they are not on here.  What fun she had though :)

New Years:

For New Years Heidi decided that she was also going to ring in the new year and stayed up until midnight.  Ok, ok she took a little nap on her aunt Cierra while Chase and I were at our party, so she didn't stay up all night :)

Valentines Day:

Which brings us to our last holiday Valentines.  For Valentines we went to Niagara Falls on Canada's side, so Heidi has officially been out of the country, woot woot.  She also had another first of going swimming on Valentines Day :)  The water was freezing but she seemed to enjoy it.

We sure have enjoyed celebrating all of the holiday's with this cute girl and can't wait to celebrate more :)
